From Portorož for a coffee to Izola
Cycling tour "From Portorož for a coffee to Izola - K12" is interesting because of its terrain and picturesque nature that surrounds us during cycling.
All routes begin in the architecturally interesting town of Piran, which provides an excellent starting point for all tours in our Istria. On the extremely dynamic terrain You can see a lot of natural and architectural attractions. This is the right choice for cyclists who want fresh air, dynamic terrain with rises and descends.
From Piran the road leads us along the coast, past Bernardin toward Portorož, where we turn towards the auditorium (there is a small climb to the tunnel), continue through the tunnel, where was the famous Parenzana train path, to Strunjan, and before the car camp we turn right along the narrow road. At the end of the road we turn left and before the bridge (before the roundabout) we turn right again, from there just follow the only road (among fields) and at the end turn left (marked with bicycle sign). The road is narrow and winding, in the summer full of cyclists, walkers and occasionally tractors, so caution is appropriate. Follow it all the way to the end, where you turn right towards Dobrava. Before us is a short climb, at hte top turn right (don't go towards Dobrava) and continue all the way to the tunnel Jagodje. On the other side of the tunnel we turn to Livade and continue along the road all the way to Izolo. From Izola the path leads us to Belvedere (near the campsite), Dobrava (narrow road among fields), followed by a descent into Strunjan. When you arrive in Strunjan we continue in the direction Pacug (where we have a climb), turn towards Fiesa (short descent on asphalt and gravel) and continue along the sea to Piran.
